The Four Letter Baker is an independent cake business based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. All cakes are handmade by Michaela Ryder, a bespoke buttercream and Lambeth-style artist. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Quotes and Pricing

Each order is individually quoted based on your specific requirements and any added extras. Please note that a minimum order value of eighty pounds applies.

Deposits

a twenty pound non-refundable deposit for celebration cakes (twenty five percent for wedding cakes) is required to secure your booking. your date is not confirmed until this deposit has been received.

Final Payment

the full balance must be paid no later than one week before collection. please refer to your invoice for payment details. If payment hasn’t been made by this time, your collection cannot be confirmed.

Designs and Inspiration

You're welcome to send inspiration pictures; however, all designs will be reimagined in my own signature style.

Cake Care and Responsibility

A digital and printed cake care guide is provided with every order. once your cake has left the premises, The Four Letter Baker cannot accept responsibility for any damage or mishandling.

Collection

Cakes are collected from Coffee at Number Ten, Millgate, Thirsk, Monday to Saturday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

If you need to collect outside of standard hours, this can sometimes be arranged, subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Please inform me of any allergies or dietary requirements when placing your order. while I will do my best to accommodate, please be aware that my kitchen handles allergens including nuts, dairy, milk, gluten, eggs, and soya. as such, I cannot guarantee that any order is entirely free from allergens.
